The history of the stadium began in 1957, when Derrick Blackburn, one of the players of Ossett Town A.F.C., was sold for 1,350 pounds to Swansea Town. Since that time, it has been the permanent home for Ossett Town A.F.C.
In 2018, there was announced a decision to join Ossett Town A.F.C along with Ossett Albion F.C., and Ingfield was confirmed to become the home of Ossett United.
