Description

Ingfield is a little but quality football stadium that is ideal for the UK non-league football matches. There is the seating area behind one of the goals as well as terracing area around the other sides of the ground.

The history of the stadium began in 1957, when Derrick Blackburn, one of the players of Ossett Town A.F.C., was sold for 1,350 pounds to Swansea Town. The money was decided to be used for purchasing the Ingfield site in the town of Ossett, the UK. The new stadium was constructed in 1959, and the football club moved to the ground right away. Since that time, it has been the permanent home for Ossett Town A.F.C.

In 2018, there was announced a decision to join Ossett Town A.F.C along with Ossett Albion F.C., and Ingfield was confirmed to become the home of Ossett United. A range of improvements to the stadium was planned, including providing outstanding grass playing surface. Installation of new facilities was also planned to aim at supporting the club’s ambitions for promoting to a higher level. New and exciting fans will also enjoy improved facilities.
