Stadium Name:
St. James' Park
Address:
St. James' Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE1 4ST
Built:
1892
Capacity:
52387
Record Attendance:
68386
Description:

St. James's Park has been home to Newcastle since 1892 and has been completely re transformed a number of times since its original format. The stadium has been almost completely rebuilt twice since the 1990's. When current renovation is complete St James' Park will be one of the largest and magnificent stadiums in Europe.

The other half of St. James Park would be the size of the other half of the stadium if it weren't for the Grade 1 listed buildings and beer brewery next to them, therefore restricting the size the stadium can be built to.

Newcastle United have unveiled plans to redevelop St James' Park at a cost of £300m. This development will increase the capacity of the stadium to at least 60,000 spectators, by developing on the Gallowgate end of the stadium. Other developments will include a conference centre, hotels and luxury apartments. More details are to be confirmed and the bid is subject to planning permission.

Pubs:
Right out side the Leazes end is the most famous pub to the Newcastle United faithful, The Strawberry. In this pub is Newcastle United memorabilia and is jam packed every home match. Also, as St. James's Park is in he city centre, there some hundreds of pubs and nightclubs within walking distance. Away fans..Welcome to Newcastle.
Away Fans:
Level 7, Sir John Hall Stand. Situated in the highest part of the stadium, away fans can see the whole game perfectly, even if the players do resemble ants a little bit. But, fans will be treated to a breathtaking view of Newcastle for miles around.
Refreshments:
Alcohol - Fosters Lager on draught and in bottles, John Smiths on draught Soft Drinks - Coca Cola, fanta, sprite etc. Scran - Beefburgers, hot dogs, balti pies. Everything however is extortionately priced and don't be surprised if they run out of anything. Which happens often.
Program and Fanzine Prices:
£3 exactly
