Description
The Wimbledon No1 Court was built in 1997 to replace the Old Court No1 which was adjacent to the centre court. The new No1 Court was built instead behind the centre court and the ‘Millennium Building’ was built in the old No1 Courts Place which hosts members and players facilities, and contains an international press centre.
When the stadium was initially constructed was was built into the side of a hill of the adjacent Aorangi Park.
The spectators seating area runs in a circle around the perimeter court, is covered and holds 12,345 spectators.
