Seating plan

Carrow Road seating plan

In 1935, Norwich City FC built what was called by the local press ‘the eighth wonder of the world’. It took them only 81 days to complete the truly impressive construction. The ground could originally accommodate 35,000 spectators, and 5,000 of those were undercover. The multiple renovations which took place in 1979, 1984, 1992, 2004, 2005, and 2010 had completely transformed the stadium.

Today it’s a modern football ground with four separate stands. The Regency Security Stand (Norwich and Peterborough Stand) and the Barclay Stand are behind the nets. The Geoffrey Watling City Stand and the South Stand are the longside stands. In 2004, the South Stand was completely rebuilt and thus the most convenient seats are there.

The categories of seats are:

  • Premium seats;
  • Category 1 seats located at the main stands;
  • Category 2 seats located at the main stands closer to the corner flags;
  • Category 3 seats located at the shortside stands.

During its long history, the venue has seen some impressive football battles including the home games of the England under-21 national team and certainly many big games in the Premier League and the Championship. Also, the greatest pop stars such as Elton John, Status Quo, Rod Stewart, and George Michael performed at the venue.
